Jarrod and Pam met at a car show in Mackay and they chose to have their wedding on their 5th anniversary of their first date. When Pam and Jarrod were on holiday in Melbourne on their last night in the city they went out for dinner. When they arrived back at the Hilton, Jarrod had organized for the lights to be off and the room covered in tealight candles. There were also rose petals shaped like a heart on the bed and Jarrod proposed on bended knee.
Cloudlands beautiful architecture and walled gardens provided the most amazing setting for Pam and Jarrod’s wedding ceremony. During their wedding ceremony conducted by Geoff Mazlin they placed letters to each other in a specially crafted wine box containing three vintage wines, which was sealed to be opened on their fifth anniversary. The couple then participated in a very special ritual of ‘Cutting the Bedsheet’. This had their family and friends in laughter as Pam and Jarrod had their first challenge as husband and wife. They had to each cut half a heart from a sheet filled with best wishes (which Pam narrowly won!) and holding the sheet, step though the opening to be presented as husband and wife.
Pam and Jarrod then had their wedding reception at the XXXX Ale House where they “cracked open a keg” for their guests to enjoy! Details of the Wedding day:

Favourite Wedding Day Moment: Our whole day was fantastic and it would be impossible to choose just one moment – a few of our favourites would be saying our wedding vows, the private time we had together after the ceremony for the bride and groom photos and greeting our guests after the ceremony.
Testimonial about using Christopher Thomas Photography: Chris and Michelle were amazing to work with leading up to and on our wedding day. They always made sure we felt comfortable, they were able to capture all the important moments and were never pushy or invasive. Their final work is beautiful and we now have photos that we will cherish for a lifetime.
