Jane and Kristian are high-school sweethearts. Although after finishing high school they had a long distance relationship for 6 years before getting married. Kristian asked for Jane’s hand in marriage on a twilight walk along Currumbin Beach whilst they were on holidays last year. The theme of the wedding day was a casual beach feel with the ceremony at Perry Point, Coolum. The wedding was handcrafted with love by Jane and Kristian and family and friends. They collected and made all the decorations, table settings, bomboneries, cake and toppers and signs. Each table was decorated with hessian table runners, shells, mason jars, flowers and stones with guests names for place makers. The amount of effort that Jane and Kristian put in was amazing and it truly showed on their wedding day with a unique and amazing day with perfect weather and outlook to celebrate with friends and family. We had a heap of fun – thanks Jane and Kristian for allowing us to be part of you wedding day.

Favourite Wedding Day Moment: The interlude between the ceremony and the reception. With the formalities of the ceremony over, it was a great feeling to spend an hour with the photographers and wedding party on the beach, generally relaxing and enjoying the first moments of being husband and wife.
Advice for other brides-to-be: Create a wedding that is uniquely yours. Spend the time and effort making your wedding one of a kind by getting friends to help you make decorations and table settings. Hunt around for your special place to get married and consider all options. We got the most satisfaction out of doing the hard work in planning, preparing, setting up and creating a wedding that was 100% ours. On the day relax and enjoy every little moment. We took a long walk on the beach early on our wedding day and decorated the cake. The best thing we did was spent a couple of days either side of our wedding staying at Coolum with our family and friends, which made for a long celebration and a lovely time to enjoy everyone’s company.
